About this deal

However (and this is why I detest hidden information and traitor mechanics in games), you quickly realise that when presented the opportunity the average player will consistently lie to you or screw you over, even if it sets back everyone - including them - in the process. At this point, the leading player can play one false evidence card if they choose, and then play moves to the right. Although we did think that the card used could have been a bit thicker, it is a bit thin but doesn’t make any difference to the gameplay. If they do, and they wish to trade evidence, they must total the card value for any matching card(s) they have and state this.

For such grizzly subject matter, you’d think the game would be at least a little gripping, but I found it impossible to care whether the tattoo artist did it in the cemetery with a tire iron. It would have been interesting if the game had come with a number of different cases from the podcast, and you can chose a random one each game to try and solve. It removes the tedious die rolling and slow progress of moving from one room to another, and focuses purely on the deduction and deception. Please note: a signature is required for most deliveries so please choose an address where someone is in. It is easy to play, evidence cards can be traded (they all have a numeric value to make it work) and evidence cards and case trackers can be stolen by other players (this can be quite frustrating when losing everything that you have collected). And you can solve a different crime, with the same victim, every time you play and have a different outcome. Use of these and any missed payments may affect your ability to obtain credit from Klarna and other lenders.

Adding fun and clever card play with the False Evidence cards which really do mix up the game quite a bit. Or maybe, you could even have to give up your case tracker, and swap this with all your notes so far with another player. Game includes 1 casefile game board, 4 case trackers, 4 dry erase markers, 44 cards, 1 deception die, 1 confidential folder and the complete instructions. This does not affect your statutory rights) If items are received back damaged, or missing items we are entitled to make a charge to cover the cost of this, and thus this may affect the amount credited to you.Based on the hit podcast of the same name, this seedy, self-branded “strategy game” Case File Truth and Deception (it is certainly not, your first clue that this was developed by people who fundamentally don’t understand the concepts they’re working with right out of the gate) sees players take on the role of detectives attempting to solve a murder mystery, exchanging evidence in shady deals and pulling the wool over their rivals’ eyes, bribing and lying to one another in equal measure to uncover the truth. But thankfully there is lots of evidence for the detectives (the players) to find and decipher to unmask the killer, bringing them to justice.

Casefile is a good game, and one I would recommend to anyone who enjoys Clue(do) and is looking for something similar. Contents: 1 Casefile Gameboard, 4 Case Trackers, 4 Dry-Erase Markers, 44 Cards, 1 Deception Die, 1 Confidential Folder, and Complete Instructions. If they are wrong about any of the four cards, they are out and the game continues for all other players with that player out of the game.

Unfortunately we cannot deliver to BFPO addresses and some large items are shipped directly from our suppliers who ship to the UK mainland only. Every card has a printed value from one to three, and you can say the total of the numbers on the cards you wish to offer up for auction. When it comes to Case File, however, I’m sorry to say there’s barely a shred of evidence to suggest this is a worthy addition to your collection; doing so would be (drumroll, please) a true crime. I personally haven't listened to the podcast so I don't know much about it but I wanted to give the game a try as I like crime and mystery games.

Play will continue until one player thinks they have gathered enough evidence to make an attempt at solving the case. I’m guilty, I’ll admit it: my time with Case File ended when I was driven to hazard a guess at the solution (which I only got wrong by one piece of the puzzle) just so I could be out of the game.Suddenly, it hits you as if Colonel Mustard’s just clocked you over the head with a candlestick in the library: this is just a glorified game of Happy Families with a decidedly derivative lick of paint. Hi, I was recently in Wal-Mart when I saw the Casefile board game (along with Hunt-a-killer) and I decided to get it for family game night. I’ve played the requisite rounds of Monopoly which have dragged to the point of family blowouts and beyond.
