About this deal

During the week leading up to the box set's release a series of short videos were released on the Pink Floyd YouTube channel entitled 50 Years in a Heartbeat – the Making of The Dark Side of the Moon which include archival footage of the band speaking about the album and new footage of those involved with the design on the 50th anniversary set. Originally released in 1973 and becoming one of the most iconic and influential albums ever, Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side Of The Moon continues to find new audiences globally.

What musical content that’s there, is great - the LPs, CDs, DVD, Blu-rays all contain the various mixes of the album, to me they all sound phenomenal and the Atmos version is amazing. Light in the Attic Records present the next installment of the Nancy Sinatra Archival Series with the first ever reissue of the classic 1972 album Nancy and Lee Again. All post-2005 pressings including "The Great Gig in the Sky" credit both Wright and Torry for the song, as per her successful court challenge. Of course it could've contained more extra material, even if only that which was part of the Immersion Edition. You may be surprised it doesn’t come in a crystal case, but when you realise it’s almost like your old beaten up original’70s vinyl sleeve, only in pristine condition, you’ll soon be happy with the money you’ve spent!

It was originally recorded in November 1974 as part of the band’s winter tour and this is the first time it will be available as a stand-alone album, with artwork featuring an original 1973 line-drawn cover by George Hardie. The set also includes additional new Blu-ray disc of Atmos mix, plus CD and LP of ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon – Live At Wembley Empire Pool, London, 1974’, a 160-page hardback photo book, a music book, replica 7” singles and memorabilia. The set also includes additional Blu-ray disc of Atmos mix plus CD and LP of 'The Dark Side of the Moon - Live At Wembley Empire Pool, London, 1974'. Maybe Roger still has the cards they used, or could be reproduced used for the interviews, which became the voices of ‘The Dark Side of The Moon’.The quality of this recording and the sound is just phenomenal, stereo separation is superb and I was just amazed at how it sounded.

The design of the set is beautiful, however I think it’s fair to say that it’s incomplete for a special 50th anniversary release.

My original vinyl is more than a bit worn, and although I have a CD, a new, crisp, clean, and dust and scratch free version 12-inch is most welcome.
